Courchevel Driving Directions

Driving To Courchevel from Calais
If you're planning on driving to Courchevel from the UK, more often than not you'll begin your journey on French soil starting from Calais. Both the Euro Tunnel and most of the popular ferry crossings arrive at Calais so this is where we've given you driving directions from.
Once you've disembarked, you'll first take the slip road for the N216. There are a number of options and exits here, look out for and follow the signs to the A216 (signs for A16/A26/PARIS/REIMS), then continue onto the A26, towards Reims. The roads here are all autoroutes (large motorways) with tolls along the way. Toll costs from Calais to Courchevel are around 30 - 40 euros (one way).
Follow the A26 for 260km until you approch Reims, follow the ringroad which navigates to the west of Reims and merge onto the A4. Once south of Reims, the road merges back to the A26, all the while following signs for Dijon and Lyon. Once past the small town of Troyes the road merges onto the A5 and later the A31 towards Dijon.
Once past Dijon, continue on the A31 towards Lyon. As you skirt around the East side of Lyon, look for signs marked GENEVE/GRENOBLE and head along the A46, A42, A432 and finally the A43 towards CHAMBERY. When making your way through Chambery, follow signs for N201 Albertville/Grenoble/Turin. Keep on the A43 towards Albertville, the roads become the A430 and then the N90. As you approach Moutiers, take the D915 exit towards Moutiers/Brides-les-Bains/Méribel/Courchevel, following this road to your destination in Courchevel.
The journey should take you around 10 hours, assuming you have a couple of short stops.
We ask you to arrive between 9am and 7pm if possible. You will be able to leave luggage in the ski room.
Driving To Courchevel from Geneva AIRPORT
If you're flying into Geneva, renting a car then driving the rest of the way to Courchevel, the driving directions are fairly similar to those mentioned above (from Geneva onwards), but we'll outline them here again. Here you'll be driving through Annecy instead of past Lyon to the west.
The roads around Geneva airport are notoriously complicated, so make sure to take your time when driving here and to follow the proper signage. Initially you'll want to follow the A1 road, taking you away from the airport. Look out for a 90 degree turn to the left, follow the bend around and then watch for signs that say 'FRANCE'.
Continue along the A1 then look for signs following A41 towards CHAMBERY. Once approaching Chambery, take the E70 exit towards GRENOBLE/ALBERTVILLE and join the E70/N201, then continue along the A43/E70 towards MONTMELIAN. Take the A43/E70 exit towards Turin-Milan/Albertville, then continue on the A43 and later A430 then the N90 past Albertville. As you approach Moutiers, take the D915 exit towards Moutiers/Brides-les-Bains/Méribel/Courchevel, following this road to your destination in Courchevel.
The journey from Geneva Airport to Courchevel should take you 2 to 2.5 hours depending on traffic around Geneva.
Free car parking is usually available at our chalets, but please get in touch with us at the time of booking if you are planning to drive to Courchevel and we can assist you with the arrangements.
