Christmas Activities For The Kids in Morzine
Christmas has arrived early for skiers this year with fresh, white snow blanketing resorts from Austria to France. Morzine and Avoriaz are no different, with multiple powder days under their belts already.
With Christmas Day just around the corner, now’s the time to sort out the perfect festive schedule during your ski holiday in the Alps. Morzine has plenty of Christmas and New Year’s activities planned over the next couple of weeks, including Christmas Craft fairs, light shows and an opportunity to meet Santa.
Running daily in the centre of Morzine from 17th December to 1st January, the ‘Village Enchanté’ is a selection of festive themed activities for both children and adults alike. Meet Father Christmas
Right by the Tourist Office in the centre of Morzine, kids will have a chance to meet Santa Claus before he arrives on the big day. Get your last-minute wish lists in to make sure you get everything you desire on Christmas Day.
You’ll be able to meet Father Christmas on 19th, 20th, 21st and 23rd December, between 5 – 6pm.
Build a Christmas Cabin
During this workshop, children will have the chance to build their own Christmas cabins from wood and decorate them as they like. With expert guided supervision, the kids will be able to get their creative juices flowing.
Available 21st & 29th December 2022, between 10.30 – 6.30pm.
Christmas Face Painting
On the 21st & 28th December, between 3:30 – 6:30pm the younger ones will be able to choose their favourite character or animal and get their face painted to match.
Ice Treasure Hunt
Little ones between the ages of 6 and 12 will have the opportunity to try and find some small gold coins, wedged deep inside a giant block of ice. With the help of an ice pick, this fun activity is bound to put some smiles on faces.

‘Become an Elf’ Virtual Reality
Those above the age of 3 have the chance to see what life is like for one of Santa’s little elves. Pop on a VR headset and you’ll be able to travel all around town on Santa’s sleigh, dropping off presents for Morzine’s residents.
This event is happening 20th & 28th December 2022, between 4 pm – 6 pm.
Chocolate Making
Located in the Palais de Sport (Morzine’s hockey stadium) there’s some delicious Christmas craft making to be done over the festive period. On 22nd December, between 5 - 6:15pm, you can craft some homemade chocolate treats for you and your family.
Decoration Making
Little ones aged between 6 and 12 can design and create some of their own Christmassy decorations, perfect for the Christmas tree. Whether you fancy making cute little snowmen, stars atop the tree, baby Santas or anything else that might delight on Christmas Day.
This festive activity will be happening on 23rd December, between 2:30 - 4pm.
