Marvellous Meribel

Why does the heart of the Valleys bring so many people back year after year? Well, over its 80-year history, Meribel has established itself as one of the best ski resorts in Europe, both on and off the piste. Its traditional charm and high-quality skiing makes it a favourite with skiers from across the globe.

These skiers are spoilt for choice with a range of runs from the daunting reds of Mont Vallon to the cruisey greens into Meribel Mottaret. The links to the next-door valleys of Courchevel and Les Menuires/Saint Martin are super-fast which extends the incredible skiing area even further.

Off the piste, there’s plenty more to do if you’re not too worn out from the world-class skiing. There’s huge range of shops and regular street markets to keep those shopaholics busy and for those looking for even more fun, the Olympic swimming pool, ice rink and bowling alley are right in the centre of the Chaudanne.

Of course, of an evening, there is a great selection of restaurants offering a range of cuisines, including the traditional Savoyard dishes of Fondue, Raclette and Tartiflette. Afterwards, enjoy the many bars Meribel has to offer and party the night away. But not too hard, some of the best skiing in the Alps is just outside the door!
