Save Ski Sunday
The BBC has decided to drop Ski Sunday from its schedule after nearly 50 years.
Ski Sunday has been a cornerstone of British skiing since the 1970s and has inspired generations to give it a go.
So many of us watched it religiously on a Sunday with our families, long before we had ever been to the mountains.
Millions of Brits started a lifelong love affair with skiing simply because of Ski Sunday. Over the years, it has changed from being a race-focused programme to more of a magazine-style blend, but always with great presenters and a boundless enthusiasm for skiing and the mountains.
The point here isn't just that we will miss our weekly fix. It's about what this means for the future of British skiing.
There are now countless media channels watched by young and old, but nothing quite holds the same magic as a free-to-watch, regular programme like Ski Sunday - bringing skiing and snow sports into homes across the country.
We believe Ski Sunday has an essential role to play in keeping British snow sports alive and inspiring the next generation of skiers, snowboarders, seasonnaires and, perhaps, futureTeam GB athletes.
