Why Our Ski Experts Love Val d'Isere
Feedback from our team trip in April 2026
Vicki
Why the chalets made a great skiweekend for me:
Transfer time didn’t feel 3 hours, went pretty fast. Still got plenty of time in resort on Monday too before going home late afternoon
Not having to think about getting to a supermarket and buying food, chalet hosts were fantastic, plenty of lovely food, never went hungry
Plenty to do in a short break so felt like I was away longer (skiing, apres, snowshoeing (Monday morning), shopping… as we were in Cascade had the hot tub to enjoy, pool competition after dinner one evening)!
Great access to the Folie for skiiers and non skiiers – was a great base to meet up with the whole team later in the day
NEW: Equipment hire delivery service to chalet was great, saved valuable time and fitted in perfectly with our SkiWeekends shared transfer arrival time (little porky but I’m sure it will do and we did use it)!!
Being able to ski down to the gondolas from outside of the chalet was a real plus
Nothing was too far away, the blue bus worked well (you can use an app for live timings of where the bus is) but also very walkable into town and back up to the chalets (I did this several times)
Fantastic skiing, being able to ski a day in Tignes and a day in VDI plus getting up to the glaciers really felt like we covered a large area in the time we had there
April – Marmottes galore! I’ve never seen so many! (they are not a myth)!!
