Chalet Hideaway II

Chalet Hideaway 2 in Chamonix valley, Grand Montets is located at the end of the red piste Pierre a Ric, where it becomes a beginners ski area.

In the morning, simply step out from your chalet onto the piste and ski to the Plan Joran gondola on a gentle slope, or walk around the corner to the Panda ski club.

You will be first on the slopes in this wonderful slope side location. Not only is Chalet Hideaway 2 in a great location, it has exceptional facilities. There is an outdoor jacuzzi on the terrace with stunning Chamonix mountain vistas, perfect to slip into and relax after a day on the mountain. There is also an indoor sauna and a 27 degree plunge pool to help relax and revive during your Chamonix ski weekend, the facilities give this chalet the 4* rating.

Chalet Hideaway 2 is a traditional chalet - shared with and joined to - Chalet Hideaway 1 by a lower ground corridor, both chalets have internal and external private access. Both chalets can be booked together to sleep up to 20 guests (note it is not possible for all to dine together), or booked separately for private sole use. You may also book just the room/s you need on a shared chalet basis.

Enjoy home-made cake and afternoon tea/coffee served by our Chalet Hosts whilst you play your favourite tunes connected to the Bluetooth speaker or enjoy watching the smart TV.

Every bedroom has its own private or ensuite facilities which include a WC, washbasin and shower over bath.

The lower ground floor has an indoor heated plunge pool with relaxation area, sauna and shower.

On arrival you will be welcomed with tea and cake and before dinner on your first evening, there will be a welcome drink. Chalet Hideaway 2 offers our Classic chalet board - continental breakfast & delicious afternoon tea and cake are served daily,hot breakfast options such as bacon, beans & eggs or a pancake stack (different option each morning) and porridge with sprinkles are served on 5 mornings, in addition to the daily continental breakfast.

Baguette To Go: at breakfast you will be invited to make your own ham & cheese baguette, to take out if you wish.

SkiWeekends chalet evening meals - look forward to the 3-course evening meal with wine included throughout dinner service, which is served on 6 evenings.

This is all provided by your SkiWeekends hosts who live in the chalet.

During your stay, your host will cater for special diet requirements at no extra supplement, just so long a it is booked no later than a few weeks before travel.

For families with younger children, a childrens menu can be pre booked before travel at no extra supplement, to eat the same time as adult dinner. When booking the chalet for private sole use, an earlier childrens dinner time (high tea) can be pre-booked for a supplement. A childs menu only is served at high tea.

The kettle is always on at a SkiWeekends chalet for you to help yourself to a great selection of hot drinks.

Host Time Off - please note that your host in this chalet will have Wednesday all day and Saturday morning off. This gives you an opportunity to dine out in resort on Wednesday, where there are plenty of lovely local restaurants, not to mention an excellent choice of bars and shops. On your hosts mornings off, you can help yourself to a delicious continental breakfast, freshly baked croissants delivered to your door, ham & cheese lunch baguettes to go and afternoon tea and cake will be available for you to self serve.

Pre-booked lift passes will be waiting for you when you arrive at the chalet. Pre-booked equipment hire can be picked up from a shop that is open during the day and just a few minutes walk from the chalet. Pre-booking these essential extras makes going skiing on arrival day even quicker, allowing you to maximise your time on the slopes.

On check in/check out days there is a bag store and a shower area on the lower ground floor to use before and after skiing.

Self drive guests - there is limited free car parking (5 spaces shared with Chalet Hideaway 1). Parking is subject to availability. Please enquire & book when booking the holiday.

* Due to cleaning, maintenance and refill/reheat time, jacuzzis are not available on arrival days. For your comfort bring your sliders/flip flops to wear to walk to the outside jacuzzi and around the indoor pool and sauna area.

** Where the host lives in, they may or may not be the host looking after you during your stay. They have their own room and bathroom but you may see them using the chalet kitchen to prepare their food.

*** pool open hours 07:30 - 19:30  (Wednesday & Thursday 12:00 - 19:30) - no lifeguard at any time - children under 16 years must be supervised  at all times by an adult in the booking group

We are sorry but this chalet is not suitable for wheelchair access.

For the comfort of all guests and hosts no pets can stay in chalets.

This chalet is a great option for a family ski holiday, whether you want to share the chalet with other groups or book it for private use. Find out all you need to know about children & infants in our chalets here. Rooms 2 and 4 have space for a cot (no other rooms can accommodate a cot).

The location is right next to Evolution2 ski school and play area with chalet ski in/out. The private garden makes a perfect winter play area.

Note: children under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times when using the pool, jacuzzi and sauna - there is no SkiWeekends supervision or child care provided

• Arrive on a Monday and stay for 3, 6 or 7 nights

Chalet hosts day off is Wednesday all day and morning off is Saturday (these may vary over Christmas and New Year).

Chalet welcome and welcome drink is at 19:00, dinner is served at 19:30

Please note that on guest change over days, between the hours of 09:30 and 17:00, both departing and arriving guests will be sharing the chalet public areas.

Check in/Out:

On arrival day you may arrive at Chalet Hideaway 2 anytime from 09:30 to change, leave your bags and go skiing. Your bedroom will be ready by 17:00 at the latest but normally earlier.

Late Arrival Supplement - if you choose to arrive at the chalet after 21:30 and no later than 22:30, we will book a host to return to work to let you into the chalet, show you to your room, provide you with information to ensure your ski time is not delayed the next day and to provide you with a light supper. There is a  supplement for late arrivals. For the comfort of other guests and consideration for your host, there are no arrivals into chalets after 22:30.

On your departure day - bedroom checkout is 09:00 but we know that you may want to ski until the last minute, so we ensure that there is somewhere for you to leave your bags and change up until 17:00.

Shared, return mini-bus transfers from Geneva Airport are included in your price, and will drop you right at the door of the chalet.
