From stunt jumping over 6 buses to holding the British ski jumping record, Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards is a man of many talents.

Eddie was the first competitor to represent Great Britain in ski jumping for 60 years in 1988, achieving 73.5m in the Calgary Olympic Games. Not only that, he is also an accomplished skier, was the subject of a Hollywood movie about his life (Eddie the Eagle, in 2016), and is now back in the public eye after being drafted into Dancing On Ice!

Eddie is a real friend of Ski Weekends. He has been skiing with SkiWeekends guests for several years, giving them the opportunity to stay in the same chalet, watch his movie with a Q&A and actually ski with the great man himself. 

Eddie was scheduled to join SkiWeekends and its guests, staying in some of our catered chalets in early 2024, but since Dancing On Ice started, those dates have...well...been put on ice! We wish him all the best, and given his friendly personality, ski skills, dedication to training and truly competitive nature, we wouldn't be surprised if he won! Go Eddie!
