ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN COURCHEVEL Moriond
Indoor Activities
Aquamotion is the go-to spot in Courchevel Moriond for all things indoor. Dive into the swimming pool or have a blast at the water park with slides and a wild river. You can even give surfing a shot! If you're looking to stay dry, hit the gym, join a fitness class, or challenge yourself on the indoor climbing wall. After all that action, unwind at the spa. Besides Aquamotion's spa, many hotel spas in Courchevel are open to non-guests too.
The Forum in Courchevel 1850 is a big shopping and leisure complex with loads to do. Head to Bowling 3000 for some friendly competition on one of their 8 bowling lanes, or check out the arcade games that are fun for all ages. The Forum is also home to the Patinoire du Forum, an indoor ice skating rink, where you can glide around, try icestock (like curling), or catch a broomball tournament (a hockey-like game played with brooms!).
Outdoor Activities
Want to explore the mountains differently? Try ski touring or cross-country skiing—there’s over 70km of trails for all levels. If you prefer walking, there are 9 snowshoe trails and 15 groomed winter footpaths. It’s a great way to experience the beauty of the outdoors! Dive into the local culture by exploring Courchevel’s rich religious heritage and charming Alpine villages. Discover historic chapels, churches, and learn about the area’s past, as well as iconic spots like the Olympic ski jumps and the Forum. A picturesque village walk is the perfect way to soak up mountain life.
For a more classic winter experience, take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snowy landscapes or try your hand at dog sledding with a team of eager huskies. If you’re up for a different kind of adventure, hop on a fat bike—these mountain bikes have big tires perfect for snow riding. As night falls, switch things up by taking a fatscoot (an electric scooter with big wheels) down the slopes once they’re closed. Surrounded by the calm, snowy landscape, you’ll see Courchevel in a whole new light. If you want something faster, try a snowmobile on a secure 700m circuit, or go on a thrilling night snowmobile ride after the ski area closes.
For an unforgettable experience, why not drive a piste basher? Feel the power of a 470 horsepower snowcat as a professional driver teaches you how to groom the snow or make sharp turns on a dedicated circuit. You can also enjoy a relaxing evening ride in a groomer.
For a truly unique perspective, take to the skies! Courchevel’s altiport is the only one of its kind in Europe, offering a range of airborne activities. Enjoy a scenic flight or helicopter ride to take in stunning views of the Alps, or even try a flying lesson! If you’re feeling adventurous, go skydiving—jump from 5,000m and experience 40 seconds of exhilarating free-fall. Skiers and pedestrians can also try hang gliding and paragliding, or for a more peaceful experience, consider a sunrise hot air balloon ride. For a different kind of challenge, head to the 16-meter-high ice wall at the altiport and try ice climbing, or book a guide to climb the frozen streams nearby. If mountaineering is your thing, there are plenty of opportunities to climb with a guide at altitudes over 3,000m.
For some downhill thrills, try something different and go sledding! The 2km sledge track in Courchevel 1850 is perfect for racing friends through snow-covered trees. For even more excitement, head to Courchevel Moriond for the 3km Moriond Racing toboggan run. With hairpin turns, straightaways, tunnels, a carousel, and switchbacks, it’s an experience you won’t forget! There are also dedicated sledding areas for kids at Courchevel 1850 and La Tania. For a twist on traditional sledding, try snakegliss—sleds are connected, with the quieter seats in front and more thrilling ones at the back. Another must-try is airboarding, where you ride an inflatable sled down the snow like a bodyboard.
Join a torch-lit descent down the ski slopes, with a flaming torch in hand, to help create a beautiful golden river of light in the night.
Non-skiers can still enjoy the mountains by getting a pedestrian lift pass, which gives access to main lifts, winter hiking trails, and mountain restaurants.
