If you're after some apres ski, then La Plagne offers lots of choice. Although perhaps not as lively as places like Meribel there are plenty of bars with live music at après ski, happy hours, as well as late-night haunts.

By far the best starting point for apres ski in La Plagne is on the piste at La Bergerie. Located near Plagne Centre, La Bergerie is the Folie Douce of La Plagne, kicking out tunes and a great atmosphere from 3pm onwards each day.

Some other spots to try out include Le Bonnet in Plagne Bellecote. Most revellers head out from La Bergerie and over to Le Bonnet to keep the party going until 7pm! This slopeside bar offers a great party atmosphere, live DJ sets, a variety of drinks and themed events. After this finishes you can grab the free shuttle bus towards Plagne Centre or Plagne 1800. Alternatively you can take the pedestrian Roche de Mio bubble up to Belle Plagne.

If you feel a little homesick, then the only place to head to is the Spitting Feathers Bar, an English pub-style bar that will leave you feeling like you have just walked into your local back home. They even play Premier League football on the big screens and other sporting events as well as having three separate happy hours every day. Perhaps the best bit about the Spitting Feathers bar is that you can grab the free minibus back to wherever you are staying in La Plagne.

If none of the above appeals to you and you prefer to have a peaceful après ski without all the loud music which generally comes with it, then be sure to check out La Terrasse in the Aime 2000 shopping area. With a more relaxed ambience, this is the preferred après ski bar for the locals and also has TV screens to show some sport.

La Plagne Nightlife

Belle Plagne is certainly the liveliest village in La Plagne. For the real party animals that fancy boogieing the night away to some loud euro pop when the sun goes down, we recommend bar/restaurant/nightclub La Bodega. A popular haunt among both seasonaires and tourists, this venue doesn't usually start livening up until around midnight and is then usually alive and kicking until the wee hours. If you'll staying in one of the other La Plagne villages, La Bodega offers a free shuttle service into the early hours of the morning.

In Belle Plagne you'll also find a couple of great bars which are popular with locals and tourists alike. Firstly you have Le Cheyenne, a lively bar with music after 9pm and excellent food beforehand - make sure you try their superb pizzas. Next door you'll find La Tête Inn, offering a wide selection of beers and a great atmosphere (usually filled with seasonnaires and esf instructors!).

La Mine Bar in Plagne 1800 is a traditional English pub and perfect for a quiet drink or two. This bar also screens some of the popular European live sporting events and occasionally hosts some live music, whilst Igloo Bar in Plagne Centre serves some tasty homemade cocktails and often hosts popular DJ’s and live bands. As the name suggests, the bar is igloo themed and as well as being igloo shaped inside, it is also complete with polar bear and penguin models and heavy fur rugs draped over bar stools. Luna Bar is another great option to get the evening party started.

For a relaxed evening then be sure to try out ‘Vins & Un’ in Aime La Plagne which is a wine bar that is open throughout the winter season. With a wide selection of wines, it is a great place to sit and relax after a full day of exploring – keep an eye out for its party piece which is a large wooden Savoyard style bar. Some fantastic food is available here including the best burgers in the resort!
