ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN LES ARCS
For the adventurous snow lovers in the group, there is an abundance of other extreme pastimes besides skiing and snowboarding. These include Helicopter sightseeing tours, snowmobiling and paragliding. Long evening Snowshoe walks with guides are also available through marked walking routes that host some fantastic views of the twinkling Bourg Saint Maurice in the valley. For the avid shoppers in your group, shopping in Bourg Saint Maurice is a must. This mountain valley’s shop windows are crammed full with all sorts - from fashion to food - from big ski brands to the much loved local Beaufort cheese. In fact, whilst in Bourg St Maurice, for a slice of local culture, you can also visit the Beaufort cheese dairy to discover precisely where and how this delicious local cheese is created.
Up in resort though there are places to go bowling and ice skating with the family or friends, cinemas (which also play English films) for those rainy days and the Mille8 area located just above Arc 1800. Mille8 is a hub for many different activities both on and off the snow, but its real draw for the kids is the swimming pool, and of course the luge!
