PISTE MAP

SKI Area

Beginners

At the base of the slopes next to town the beginners areas are perfect for first time skiers with a number of free to use lifts and a sunny aspect to help keep the cold at bay.  One of the best and most unique features of the area are the easy blue runs high up on the glacier which are ideal for beginners with a few days experience and confidence with drag lifts.  Away from the glacier there are plenty of options for progression with long green runs on the Cretes ridge.

Intermediates

For the intermediate skiers there is a good variety of high-altitude terrain to explore.  On the opposite side of town, the Vallee Blanche area is an underrated option and the planned lift upgrades here will be very welcome.

Advanced / Off-Piste

The area can boast some genuine black runs such as Bellecombes but the star attraction of Les Duex Alpes is the off piste.  The main action can be found on the La Fee sector and real experts should take the snowcat from the glacier that connects to the legendary resort of La Grave which boasts some of the most challenging off-piste terrain in the world.  To make the most of La Grave it is highly recommended to hire a guide with expert local knowledge and all the relevant safety equipment needed to keep the experience as safe as possible.

Après Ski

High up at 2600m, Pano Bar is the place to start the après party with ‘panoramic’ views, DJs, dancing on tables and a great atmosphere.  Continue the fun at several great bars at the foot of the slopes with Umbrella Bar being a particular favourite.  After dark there are plenty of great bars around the resort with live music, karaoke and even a night club.
