ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN LES GETS
There is an abundance of activities to choose from in Les Gets. For those who are not intent on skiing every day, there are plenty of traditional Alpine shops selling local produce such as Genepi and Tomme de Savoie cheese. Winter activities are also readily available in the Les Gets area including snowshoeing expeditions, traditional Husky sleigh rides and parapenting. When done hitting the slopes, the town itself has numerous daytime and evening entertainment facilities that will keep all age groups occupied including a bowling alley, an outdoor ice rink and a cinema. For those looking for something a little kookier, however, there is also an intriguing Mechanical Music Museum - definitely, the type of attraction that is found exclusively in Les Gets.
On the slopes, activities are also available as well with sledging, snow surfing, telemarking and ski joering just a few of the activities you can get involved with. But for any fitness buffs out there then there are yoga sessions which occur daily out in Les Gets from mid-December to mid-April. Keolan yoga is for all levels and ages and is well worth a try if you a looking to expend any leftover energy from the skiing!
