ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN MEGEVE
There are plenty of activities in Megève for the non-skier or even for skiers looking to break away from the slopes for a day. You can spend hours shopping in the many boutique shops or sit and relax in a café sipping on a hot beverage before taking a stroll around the historic buildings in the town centre.
There is also a sports centre with a 25m indoor pool, children’s pool, water slides and saunas. It also has tennis courts, a climbing wall and two ice-rinks where you can watch the local ice-hockey and curling teams.
For a unique experience in Megève, take a hot-air balloon ride over the Mont Blanc range or a light aircraft which can be easily arranged. If you wish to keep your feet firmly on the ground, then take a sleigh-ride home in one of the many horse-drawn carriages or even a winter walk around the 50km of marked footpaths.
After dining out in one of the many delicious restaurants, you will be well entertained in the evenings as Megève also has 3 cinemas, a bowling alley and a casino. You will also find plenty of regular ski resort services here such as the newsagents, chemist, souvenir shops and supermarkets.
