Snow Conditions in Wengen

Located close to the edge of the northern Alps, Wengen doesn't benefit from the high elevation of its Swiss neighbours, topping out at 2485m in altitude. Although Wengen receives decent annual snowfall, because of the low slopes and the village height of 945m, conditions can be very unpredictable down low. Snow cannons make up for the low elevation issues and now cover more than half the ski area.

Is Wengen snow sure? Up high there is generally nothing to worry about, but outside of mid-winter the resort level slopes do tend to suffer.
