Solo Ski Holidays
Our solo ski holidays have been a huge success over the last few seasons, bringing solo/single skiers and boarders together for a great time in the Alps, and making lasting new friendships.
Our solo ski trips are for people travelling alone, for 4 nights, to one of our catered chalets in France.
The spirit of a SkiWeekends solos holiday is that you get to meet new people to ski/board and socialise with. It’s all about everyone on the holiday having a great time together and no one being excluded. Dozens of people make new friends every year with us, so much so that they want to come back and do it all again, meeting more new solo ski friends every year. Our best solos holidays are where everyone on the trip welcomes and supports everyone else.
If you already know other skiers from previous trips and would like to have your own exclusive group to relax and have fun together, we are very happy to find you a holiday that is more suitable for your group.
Where Are Our Solos Trips For Skiers & Snowboarders?
We run solos ski holidays to our catered chalets in Avoriaz, Les Gets and Val d'Isere, with shared, return Geneva Airport transfers included.
** NEW DATES ADDED ** Les Gets in January 2027 and Val d'Isere in April 2027

Can I Bring A Friend?
These solo ski holidays are for solo and single travellers only. If you would like to book a ski holiday with a friend, partner or family member we have lots of other holiday options to choose from.
Is this a dating ski break?
No, not at all. Try to think of our solo ski holidays as shared catered chalet holidays for individual skiers/snowboarders and sociable solo travellers.
Will there be a ski guide?
No, but we will arrange meet up times and suggested itineraries for each day. Beginners are welcome to book lessons - ask our ski experts for a ski school referral.
Who will I meet in the chalet?
Aside from our friendly, knowledgeable Chalet Hosts, you will be sharing the chalet with other solo skiers/boarders just like you, plus perhaps a few guests who already know each other but would like to mix with others.
In our last few trips our solo ski holiday guest ages ranged from age 23 - 70. Typically the average age is between 45 - 55. We are aware there will always be a range of ages and abilities, so don't worry, the ski areas we have been chosen for the trips are suitable for all abilities, and if you're sharing a room we always pair you up with a guests of the same gender and where possible a similar age.
Are transfers included?
Yes! Shared transfers are included in the price. If for any reason you don't want or can't make the shared transfer, you can upgrade to a private transfer for a supplement, or if you wish to self drive then we are happy to give you a discount on the price quoted. Please ask for parking space availability and a self drive discount when booking.
Do I have to join in with everyone?
Not at all. This is your holiday after all, so you can ski as much as you like, socialise as much as you like. You can explore the slopes by yourself if you wish! There are no formal or pre-arranged group activities. Everything is casual. Your evening meals will be at a set time each evening, but if for whatever reason you don't want to join, simply let the chalet host know as soon as you can.
Will I have to share a bedroom?
Yes and no! You can choose to book a shared room, or book a room just for you. Shared room guests will be put together with another solo traveller in a twin room with a guest of the same gender and roughly the same age. Prices for shared and single sole use rooms are displayed above.
Will there be children in the chalet?
No. These dates have been specifically reserved for adults only.
Can I contact fellow solo skiers on the same trip before the holiday?
Before you travel you will be invited to join a solos WhatsApp group with all the other guests and host on your solos trip. This allows you to say hello, arrange to meet at the airport, at the chalet to go skiing on arrival, or even group together to book a private ski lesson. During the solos ski holiday the WhatsApp group is invaluable for keeping in touch with where to ski, lunch options and apres ski, and of course sharing very happy holiday photos and memories.
Are there any other solo holiday options?
Yes! We also have ladies only ski trips. These are trips where you can go as a solo female skier / boarder, Find out more here.
We also make some rooms in our catered chalets available for solo skiers / boarders throughout the season. View all the options here. This is a regular catered shared chalet ski holiday.
How do I book one of the solo ski trips?
Call our friendly Ski Experts on +44(0)2380 206971.
