Apres Ski In Alpe d'Huez
Apres Ski Straight Off The Piste
La Folie Douce
Alpe d'Huez has many après ski options available however the biggest draw is still this world-renowned après ski bar. With the après ski entertainment and dancing kicking off at 3pm every day at the Folie Douce at the top of the Marmottes 1 lift, there is time to party all afternoon until the time comes to take the Bergers (blue) or Olympique (red) runs back down to the resort. Table dancing is a must here and has effectively become a rite of passage for après skiers. But possibly the best thing about this venue is the live performers each day, with DJ’s, dancers, musicians and singers performing every day of the week in rain, sun or snow!
Apres Ski Around Alpe d'Huez
Back down in Alpe d'Huez there are plenty of après ski bars to keep you watered and entertained, here's how we'd make the most of them:
Bar l'Indiana
We would always start with a drink in Bar l'Indiana, which shows live sport and has some excellent food options.
Les Caves de l'Alpe
Moving the apres up a level, we recommend the Les Caves de l'Alpe bar, which has a good selection of beers, cocktails and shots.
Smithy's Tavern
A few steps away is Smithy's, which is an English pub with live music, Tex-Mex food and decent burgers.
Zoo Bar
Below Smithy's is the Zoo Bar, which features a DJ booth and a range of music.
Underground Bar
Most apres ski revellers would then head towards Underground Bar, which has a lively atmosphere and great live music on certain nights during the week.
Moose bar
Popular Austrian style apres bar serving up Belgium beer and good music that gets you dancing. With regular DJ spots and themed events, this is the place to get the party started.
Late Night Apres Ski in Alpe d'Huez
L'Igloo
There Whilst there are plenty of bars to party in, there are only a couple of discothèques to dance the night away in Alpe d'Huez. Our pick would be L'Igloo - the doors open at midnight, and the nightclub has some of the best DJ's and themed nights in the Alps for everyone to enjoy.
Freeride Bar
There is also the Freeride Bar on the main street in town, which always has a great buzz and stays open until 2am most nights.
