APRES-SKI IN BRIDES LES BAINS
Not a resort known for its après ski scene, it is distinctly quiet in the evenings. There are a few bars scattered around the town which are traditionally French. Alternatively, you can end your day on the slopes slightly earlier and stay in Meribel for a livelier après scene then catch the last gondola back down to Brides. On a Tuesday there is usually a shuttle bus that runs from Meribel which means you can stay for après ski in Meribel and then for several drinks afterwards!
The Hotel Verseau is often full with Ski Weekend guests so if you fancy grabbing a drink with like-minded ski enthusiasts then head over to the hotel. Here you can pick up a glass of wine or beer for half the price of their counterparts in Meribel.
There are two bars in Brides that often show sporting events. Both the French and English leagues alike. La Petite Auberge, on rue Emilie Machete near the casino, has 5 TV’s and is less than 5 minutes walking distance from all of our hotels’ in Brides.
Brides Les Bains Nightlife
Brides Les Bains is home to a Casino which is the only one in the valley (Courchevel has one, but it is not easily accessible unless you are staying there) which stays open until 3 am and sometimes hosts live shows and concerts as well. This also happens to be the home of ‘Blue Night’, one of the two nightclubs in Brides Les Bains and ‘Jack’s Pub’ which may well feel like a home away from home for some of our British guests! In the Casino itself though you will find plenty of entertainment with roulette tables, poker and slot machines just some of the games they have available to its guests. It also happens to be well served by a bar and a restaurant for if you happen to be staying there for a while!
Around the town, there is Le Centre and Les Gourmets which both stay open until around 2 am most nights which act as a nice watering hole after a long day on the slopes. The tourist office also tries to chip in with a few events of their own such as karaoke nights and ice dance parties so there is bound to be something that takes your liking whilst in Brides Les Bains! If not then Meribel is 20 minutes away, but do remember that the taxis are much more expensive in the Alps than at back home!
