La Clusaz apres-ski

APRES-SKI IN LA CLUSAZ

The town does not stop when the chairlifts stop turning - far from it in fact! The Après ski in La Clusaz is surprisingly lively and certainly comparable to some of the bigger resorts. The renowned local ‘buzz’ extends to a nightlife that consists of numerous chic restaurants and lively bars. The Relais de l’Aiguille up on the mountain is a great spot for a touch of après ski with some incredible views of the surrounding resort whilst enjoying a nice glass of wine. There are several spots on the way back down to the town which is well worth stopping at for a drink.

When back down in town then be sure to try out some of the après ski bars like ‘Caves du Paccaly’ - a rustic bar with a slight modern twist to its interior. It has an outside bar with a nice terraced area which is great on a sunny day with some nice relaxing music playing in the background. There is also the Pressoir bar which is well known for stocking around 100 different beers, so lack of beverage choice is probably not something you will be complaining about here! It also happens to be a very

popular sports bar in the area and has a unique pub ambience to it, which we think is only enhanced by the karaoke night they host a couple of times a week.

The La Clusaz Nightlife

Whether you want to enjoy some DJ sets in your ski boots on mountain restaurant terraces or kick back after dinner at some of the cocktail bars and cosy lounges in town, you won’t be short on choice when it comes to evening entertainment in La Clusaz. As well as some of the après ski bars that stay open until late, there are various other hot spots around the town for a few drinks in the evening. A great one to try out is Le Balibar (Bali Bar) which is around Le Bossonet and serves great beer as well as rum and shooters and a thirst quenching homemade ice tea! There is plenty of entertainment as well, as when there is no sport on the TV they have DJ’s to get you into the party mood.

Another bar to try out is La Braise where there is a large selection of wine, plus this bar also doubles up as a pizzeria, attracting many of the locals and season workers along with plenty of holidaymakers. There is also Le Refuge which is a cocktail bar serving a great range of cocktails, beers and wine – the perfect place to go for a bit of sophistication after all the table dancing during après ski you apres ski.

The traditional late night hang out to end up at is L’Ecluse, a club famed for having a glass dancefloor above one of the mountain streams. Who knew you could feel so at one with nature in a nightclub. With beautiful décor, and a lively atmosphere -  this a great place to party on until the early hours.
