SNOW CONDITIONS IN Les Houches
Closely linked with its neighbour Chamonix, the ski area of Les Houches usually offers good skiing conditions from December until March. With an elevation gap of 900m, between 1000-1900m, the snow is generally excellent in mid winter but can often suffer at the extremes of the season.
When the snow does fall, the tree-lined runs will protect you from the elements and allow you to enjoy the powder. If the conditions aren't perfect, a short bus ride will take you to Chamonix with excellent high altitude skiing.
Is Les Houches snow sure? The area of Les Houches itself has an average snow sure rating, boosted by snow making facilities on most slopes. Paired with Chamonix it offers great snow reliability.
