ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN LES MENUIRES
Besides some fantastic skiing and snowboarding, there is also an abundance of off-mountain activities available in Les Menuires that are suitable for all age groups such as evening snowshoe outings and some pretty exhilarating tobogganing. On that note, we recommend that you visit the “Roc n Bob” toboggan run - a course that is 4km long with 22 bends and a vertical drop of 450m! Also, if your legs aren’t too fatigued from a day of pounding the slopes, Les Menuires also boasts an impressive fitness centre that includes a swimming pool, spa and sports hall.
There’s certainly enough variety for all of the thrill seekers in the group. Paragliding is a popular choice amongst visitors and early risers can partake in some morning Snow Mountain biking on a mountain descent down closed down ski runs with an instructor. For those looking for something a little more obscure, however, there is even a roller coaster in Reberty which is well worth a ride – for those who can stomach it. And to top it all off, be sure to visit the ice circuit up at Val Thorens if there is a race going on, as this is the spot where the old Top Gear boys took part in an ice rally several years ago!
