SNOW CONDITIONS IN VERBIER

Verbier is widely considered a snow-sure resort mainly due to its high altitude. As one might expect, the higher slopes are the most snow-sure of them all; the Mont-Fort glacier, in particular, has consistently good snow and is known to open in the summer months for those eager snow lovers.

Most of the lower, main slopes are south west facing so do get their fair share of sunshine – however, snowmaking is present on the runs surrounding La Chaux and the runs leading down from Attelas to the main village so you needn’t worry about bare patches getting in the way. Furthermore, snow management is very good with piste bashers working around the clock to ensure that you have a groomed, consistent cover on piste.

Is Verbier snow sure? With its super high elevation and good levels of snowfall, Verbier is so snow sure that it even opens during the summer months.
