ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS IN AVORIAZ
There is a wide range of activities to keep everyone entertained off the slopes. Once you have finished skiing or snowboarding for the day, you will definitely be able to keep everyone occupied in Avoriaz.
Dog Sledding is definitely a family favourite. Enjoy a ride through the mountains with some friendly and fluffy companions. You can also try Snowshoes if you fancy a tour of the mountains but are looking for something at a slower pace. For an exhilarating alternative to skiing down the piste, why not try mountain biking down it! You can mountain bike down the slopes between 05:30 and 19:30 every day after it has been closed to skiers.
For something a little closer to skiing, there is an open-air ice rink located in the centre of the town. As the resort is car-free the only way to get around is by horse-drawn sleighs. They are a fun way to get around the resort and will easily take you straight to your accommodation.
For kids (or big kids) head to Aquariaz and spend the day running around the water park. Headed to make a tropical climate there are plenty of flumes, water jets and swimming pools to keep the kids entertained. There is even a spa and wellness area for adults looking to relax for the day.
