Avoriaz restaurant
PLACES FOR LUNCH

Although there aren’t as many places to eat out in Avoriaz as neighbour Morzine, you can still find some great places if you know where to look. As it’s a super family-friendly resort, you will be able to find lots of affordable places to eat both on and off the mountain. If you plan on eating out on a Saturday afternoon/evening, we recommend that you book in advance.

The popular self-service mountain restaurants are prone to over-crowding during the peak ski times, especially when snow-cover is poor or the lower resorts. On the slopes, you will find plenty of budget-friendly options close to lift stations.

Le Fangle is a fabulous mountain restaurant located on the slopes towards Avoriaz. It’s a charming and spacious venue with a log fire to keep you cosy throughout the day. Reserve a place in advance to ensure you don’t lose too much time.

Cookie Café Mossettes is a truly breath-taking restaurant with a lounge that overlooks the mountain backdrop. Their Gourmet Burgers are their best sellers but they also sell a range of bistro/gastropub food.

A popular burger and snack place is the Changabang restaurant. Located by the top of the Prodains cable car, it’s a very popular spot to grab a burger, wrap or some curly fries.

PLACES FOR DINNER

As well as mountain restaurants, there are also around 20 restaurants in the main village offering a mix of affordable pizzerias through to local Savoyard specials and gourmet establishments.

Located in the centre of Avoriaz is Le Bistro. You can dine outside on the large terrace or stay warm and cosy on one of the two floors inside the restaurant. They specialise in Savoyard dishes and are open in the season for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Le 66 is a Gastronomic Restaurant serving up simple dishes such as steak and lamb prepared with fresh ingredients. It’s a typical style ski resort restaurant with traditional Alpine dishes. A little more expensive than other places but well worth it.

For good Savoyard specialities, try out the Les Fontaines Blanches. If you like your Alpine meals with lots of cheese then try their widely recommended fondue or raclette,  and children are made very welcome here.
