Mountain restaurants
There are around 40 mountain restaurants and huts across Arosa Lenzerheide, ranging from self-service to table-service with smart wine lists, and most focus on local Graubünden specialities.
Alpenblick (Hörnli side)
Cosy on-mountain restaurant on the Hörnli piste, known for cheese and meat fondues, grilled chicken and chips and a decent wine list. Open from lunchtime into the late evening; in the evening you can reach it by horse-drawn sleigh from Inner-Arosa – a very “Swiss experience”.
Sattelhütte
Traditional bergrestaurant with big sun terrace and classic Graubünden dishes (rösti, soups, platters) – ideal for a long lunch and easy to sell as a “meet-up point” for mixed-ability groups.
Ochsenalp & other huts
Rustic huts such as Bergbeizli Ochsenalp offer hearty mountain food and great views – think rösti, sausages and cheese plates. Good for anyone looking for something informal and very Swiss.
Swiss classics & Fondue Spots in Town
Blatterstube – Blatter’s Hotel
Cosy pine-clad stübli that focuses on cheese fondue, raclette and fondue chinoise, freshly prepared and very traditional. Usually open in the winter evenings and perfect for that “must-do fondue night” on a short break.
Stivetta – Waldhotel Arosa
Atmospheric restaurant at the Waldhotel with three different cheese fondues in winter, served as part of a three-course meal – a good option to recommend to guests staying nearby or for a smart but relaxed fondue evening.
You’ll also find Swiss-style dishes (rösti, Älplermagronen, grills) on the menus of many hotel restaurants in town.
Fine Dining & Something Special
La Brezza (Michelin-listed, at Tschuggen Grand Hotel)
High-end gourmet hotspot with tasting menus – “Ispirazione” (fine fish/meat) and “Moving Mountains” plant-based – all with big views over the resort. Ideal for foodies or a celebration night; booking essential.
Kachelofa-Stübli (Waldhotel Arosa)
Highly rated Swiss restaurant with refined local cuisine in a traditional setting – great recommendation for guests who want something more upscale but still very Alpine.
