SKIING IN CHAMONIX - ARGENTIERE & GRANDS MONTETS

The Argentière ski area, centred around the famous Grands Montets, is one of the most exciting and varied ski destinations in the Chamonix Valley.

While Grands Montets is renowned for its challenging terrain and exceptional snow conditions, a single lift pass also opens up the wider Chamonix Valley ski areas, including Brévent-Flégère, and Le Tour/Balme. Together, these areas provide well over 150 km of pistes, offering remarkable variety for every level of skier.

Beginners and families are well catered for thanks to the gentle nursery slopes in Argentière and the wide, confidence-building terrain at nearby Le Tour. Excellent ski schools and quiet learning areas make it easy to progress, while intermediates can enjoy long, scenic red and blue runs throughout the valley.

Brévent-Flégère offers fantastic cruising with spectacular Mont Blanc views, while Le Tour provides wide-open pistes that are ideal for relaxed skiing and mixed-ability groups.

Advanced skiers are drawn to Argentière from around the world, thanks to the legendary Grands Montets ski area. Known for its steep black runs, glacier skiing, challenging itineraries and world-class off-piste terrain, it offers some of the most exhilarating skiing in the Alps.
